When you head to Dzen Garden Market to pick up flowers, it’s hard to understand the amount of TLC that goes into growing and nurturing each and every one.
A few days ago, we headed to the greenhouses at Dzen Farms at 244 Barber Hill Road in South Windsor CT to see whats going on inside the greenhouses and what it takes to produce beautiful, blossoming, colorful flowers.
Its hard not to gasp when heading into the flower filled greenhouses. Each plant gets hand planted and added to the rows upon rows of flowers which will be ready for Mother’s Day. Donny and Joe Dzen along with other Dzen Farms employees can be found in one of the various greenhouses working hard to create beautiful flowers for the loyal Dzen Garden Market customers.
With the hard Winter we’ve had, growing in the greenhouse reminds us that Spring truly is around the corner. In addition to the popular plants available for Easter and Mother’s Day, Dzen Farms has also created unique hanging plants that will be unique and different from many plants you see during the Spring/Summer season.
